One Company, Two Trades
Licensed For Plumbing And Electrical
Water heaters, heat pump water heaters, disposals, and boiler controls all need a plumber and an electrician. Most homeowners end up coordinating two companies for one appliance, and when something does not work each one points at the other. Written guides on the most common of these live on our plumbing advice blog.
We hold both licenses, so it is one visit, one written price, and one company accountable for the result.
Local Conditions
What Actually Fails In Denver Homes
Plumbing here fails in specific ways, driven by when the house was built and what the ground underneath it does.
Lead Service Lines
Denver Water estimates 60,000 to 64,000 properties may have one, with pre-1951 homes the most likely. Replacement is coordinated with their Lead Reduction Program.
Galvanized, Cast Iron, And Clay
Capitol Hill, Congress Park, Washington Park, Baker, and the Highlands predate modern materials. Pressure drops, water discolors, and drains clog more often than they should.
Expansive Clay And Freeze Cycles
Front Range clay swells and shrinks against buried lines year after year. Sewer failures here are usually a slow pattern of backups rather than one sudden event. Freezing works the same way above ground, which is why our guide to keeping pipes from freezing in Denver starts with the hose bibs rather than the basement.

Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Are you licensed to do plumbing work in Colorado?
Yes. The Electricians and Plumbers holds a Colorado plumbing contractor registration, and the plumbing work is performed by licensed plumbers. Colorado regulates the trade through the State Plumbing Board, which licenses individual plumbers and registers plumbing contractors separately from electrical licensing.
Why is there a separate website for the plumbing services?
This site covers the plumbing side of The Electricians and Plumbers so the plumbing information is easier to find and read. The electrical services live on theelectriciansco.com. It is one company either way, family owned since 2020, with the same office in Centennial, the same crews, the same licenses, the same insurance, and the same phone number.
How does your pricing work?
A licensed plumber inspects the system on site, explains what is failing, and puts a written price in your hand before any work begins. Where there is more than one reasonable option, you see them side by side. No work starts until you approve the price.
Do you pull plumbing permits?
Yes. We pull the permits and meet the inspector. Plumbing permits run through the City and County of Denver or the applicable suburban jurisdiction, and water service line work is coordinated with Denver Water.
Do you offer financing for larger plumbing jobs?
Financing options are available for qualifying plumbing projects, subject to credit approval. Water heater replacement, repiping, and sewer or water line replacement are the jobs homeowners most often finance. Ask when you call and we will walk through what is available before you decide.
